Barry ROBERTSON

December 29, 2002

Robertson, Barry - On Sunday, December 29, 2002, Barry, in the company of his family, passed away at Royal Columbian Hospital at the age of 75. He is survived by his loving family who greatly mourn the loss of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Barry, the son of Herbert and Myrtle Robertshaw, was born in Manitoba on April 5, 1927 and grew up in Vancouver where he played for the 1947 Canadian Junior Champions, the Vancouver Blue Bombers. Once married to Barbara, they moved to Edmonton, Alberta where Barry, an accomplished athlete, played semi-professional Baseball. Barry moved his family back to Vancouver and spent the bulk of his life living in Burnaby, finally retiring to Langley. Barry was a respected baseball coach, hockey referee, and skilled woodworker and craftsman. He loved bridge and crib, and was a wonderful friend to many. Family and friends will surely miss this loving and generous man.
