SEIB, BARRY GLENN

1954 - 2005

After a courageous battle with cancer, Barry Glenn Seib passed away peacefully at Langley Memorial Hospital with his family by his side on Monday, June 20, 2005.

Barry was born in Herbert, Saskatchewan on December 8, 1954 to Ray & Leona Seib. In 1961 the family moved to the Swan River Valley, Manitoba where Barry received his education and grew up playing basketball and volleyball. His love for the great outdoors, especially horses, inspired his involvement with the rodeo. He moved to Kamloops, BC in 1971 and was employed by CNR for 3 years before relocating to the Lower Mainland in 1974 where he was employed by South West Contracting for 31 years.

Barry married Brigitte Bach on July 1, 1983 and they had two sons, Myles and Tyler. Barry loved the outdoors and spent the summer months with his family, camping, barbecuing and enjoying his home on an acre in Langley where he lived for 22 years. He returned to Swan River and often enjoyed many winter months snowmobiling around the prairies.

Barry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Brigitte, their two sons, Myles and Tyler, his mom and dad, Ray and Leona Seib, his sisters Karen (Robin) Sheppard, Sandra Seib, Debbie (John Murdo) Nicolson, brother Rod (Eileen) Seib as well as many treasured nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Mountainview Alliance Church, 7640 - 200th St., Langley on Saturday, June 25th. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
