Bernard BOURNER

BOURNER, Bernard. Passed away peacefully at Langley Memorial Hospital on December 26, 2005 at the age of 94 years with his family at his side. With loving memories he leaves to rejoice in his life his son Stan of Richmond, BC; his daughter Judy of Pickering, ON and his partner Jessie of Aldergrove, BC with whom he spent 14 wonderful years. Also left to mourn is Bonnie his faithful dog, and 2 cats Maria and Gina. He is survived by two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Bernard was born in Pontefract, England, November 22, 1911 and served proudly in the East Surrey Regiment during World War II. Then emigrating to Canada in 1957. He is predeceased by his brother Stanley, sister Kathleen and great granddaughter Jenifer. Bernard had a passion for history and was especially keen on Scottish Pipe Bands and tartans of the clans. With his incredible memory for details, he delighted family, extended family and friends with wonderful stories - a true raconteur. He will be sadly missed. At his request there will be no funeral or memorial service. Donations to the charity of choice in lieu of flowers.
