Bruce Warren Norman

Mar. 5 1949 - Feb. 19 2010

Bruce Warren Norman aged 61 years passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday February 19th, 2010. He was born on March 5th, 1949 at the Murrayville Hospital in Langley, B.C. He attended Langley Senior Secondary and following graduation he went onto work for Volkswagen Canada, first in car distribution, and then later at VW's head office in Burnaby. Soon after, he went to work with his dad (Bob Norman) as a VW technician at Cross & Norman Volkswagen in Langley. Bruce gradually found his 'career-love' and moved into a sales position where he stayed until 1986-when in 1996 he went into partnership with John Chislett. Finally, Bruce and his wife Jan became the sole owners of the dealership which they would later rename Langley Volkswagen. Bruce will be lovingly remembered for his quick-wit, joke/story telling, friendly character, contagious laugh, and his Dr. Dolittle-like love for all animals. He will be sadly missed by his wife Jan, his son Christopher (Stephanie), daughter Kymberly (Nick), brother Bob (Melerly), his mother Jeanette, in addition to, many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Bob Norman Sr. and 'adopted mother-in-law' Helen Prince. A Celebration of life will be held at Christian Life Assembly (21277-56th Avenue) on Friday, February 25th, 2010 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made the charity closest to Bruce's heart, the Canadian blood Services ttp://www.blood.ca/).
