Bryan Alan MOSELEY

November 13, 2008

MOSELEY, BRYAN ALAN

Nov. 27, 1929 - Nov. 13, 2008

It is with great sadness we announce the loss of our beloved Husband, Father, GrandDad, and Great-GrandDad, Bryan Alan Moseley. He was born in Windsor, England on November 27, 1929. With a desire to follow in his father, Frederick Moseley's footsteps, a member of the Air Transport Auxilliary during WWII, Bryan joined the ATA. His interest in aircraft prevailed throughout his life.

Bryan emigrated to Canada with his family in 1956 and resided in Richmond BC until his retirement, then moved to Langley. He was employed for many years as shop foreman of Bel-Air shipyards. Bryan was Past Master of Richmond Masonic Lodge no.142 A.F. & A.M., B.C.R., and a member of Simon Fraser Royal Arch Chapter no. 40.

Increasingly confined by rheumatoid arthritis, Bryan became the "Galley Wireless" of the family. He developed an intricate communication network that kept everyone up to date with family news as well as his unfaltering political views of current events. Despite his long battle with this debilitating disease, Bryan maintained his sharp sense of humor for which he has always been well known.

He passed away peacefully in the early hours of November 13, 2008 at his home in Langley. He was predeceased by his brothers Kenneth and David. He will be missed greatly by his beloved wife of 57 years, Pauline, his daughters Lesley (George Doubt) and Sheila (Wayne Noble), grandsons and daughters Derek and Stephen Lavoie, Jennifer (Corey Oswald), Susan and George Noble, and great-grand children Hannah Lavoie, and Alyssa and Landon Odwald.

A memorial service to celebrate Bryan's life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 1:00 pm. at Saint George's Anglican Church, 9160 Church Street, Fort Langley, BC. Refreshments will follow in the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, Bryan's family requests donations to the Arthritic Society or a charity of your choice.
