Carol Egan

February 12, 1944 - July 2, 2019
Carol passed peacefully with family, on July 2, 2019 at the age of 75. She is survived by her brother Gerry and sisters Ann, Jennifer, Sue and Mary, her children Marie, John and Marcy (husband Gary), and her beloved granddaughter, Lily. Carol is predeceased by her loving husband Michael Egan, as well as her parents, Eric and Cicely Goodwin.
Carol's motto was "keep it simple" which she applied to all aspects of her life but her farm. Here she never faltered to love and care for her animals and the home she had made for them, often working long hours. Those who knew her would catch on immediately that she wasn't a farmer, but simply loved raising and caring for everything from sheep, horses, chickens, rabbits, cats and Maggie May, her trusted dog.
Carol enjoyed escaping from the farm once or twice a year to explore Europe with her daughter and visit her sisters and friends in England. She was always up for new experiences, cultures and exotic cuisine. Another great joy was playing cards with Lily.
Our family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of both the Peace Arch hospital and the VGH
Leukemia ward for their thoughtful and loving care. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at her farm July 15, 2019, 155, 210th Street, Langley BC - 1 to 5 pm.
Carol's presence in our lives will be sorely missed! RIP.
