January 16, 1961 - November 22, 2018
David Raymond Coppin, age 57, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018. Born in Vancouver on January 16, 1961 to Raymond and Maxine (Shannon) Coppin. David attended Gladstone High School and graduated from BCIT with a degree in Computer Programming. He worked for over 30 years in various positions within the IT sector; the last decade working with pride for the Township of Langley. Aside from family, his biggest passions were volunteering and the outdoors. David treasured the friendships and experiences made as a long-time member of the Sasquatch 4 Wheelers. He was also highly involved with Scouts Canada, acting as a leader for all three of his boys. In 2005, he joined the Langley Lions and quickly became a driving force, serving a multitude of roles including President and Zone Chairman, while also receiving numerous awards for his service and dedication. His family will always remember him for his flourishing vegetable garden, his fondness of travel, and his unwavering support in all of their lives.

David is lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Lise; his three sons and their wives, Christopher (Corina), Matthew (Brittany) and Michael (Shelby); his three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Noah and Autumn, and a fourth grandchild to arrive in 2019. He is also survived by his sister and nephews.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Langley Lions Society at 43-21138 88 Ave. Langley, BC V1M 2G7 in David's honour. A celebration of life will be held in the New Year.
