Della Julia Crawford ( nee Donald )
April 8, 1944 - July 23, 2008
Passed away peacefully at Langley Hospice in the company of her colleagues and devoted friends. Predeceased by her parents and survived by her brother Michael, niece Amelia and nephew Alex of Victoria, and many close friends. Born in Reading England and raised in Vancouver, Della earned a B.A ( UBC ) and a M.Ed ( Western Washington ). For nearly 30 years, Della taught and counselled at Langley Senior Secondary. Her love of the animal kingdom was unbounded, from Langley's oldest horse, Soup, to Pud, the laundry room cat, to her beloved Salukis: Vashti, Micki and Majid. " They're not dogs, they're Salukis!" Many thanks to the caring staff at the Langley Hospice who made Della's last days so much easier. A celebration of Della's life will be held in September, with details to be announced.
