May 28, 1944 - September 24, 2018
It is with great sadness and grief that we announce the passing of Dianne September 24th, after fighting an aggressive form of cancer for several months.

Throughout her ordeal and trauma, Dianne had the unwavering support of her many friends and husband (Bernard) of 51 years. Dianne is survived by her twin sister Carolyne Breadner of Sechelt.

Dianne and twin sister were born in St. Boniface, Manitoba May 28th, 1944. She and her family moved to her current location in Langley in 1949.

After graduating from Langley High School, Dianne went to UBC to get her BSc in Home Economics. She enjoyed 32 years of teaching in the Surrey School District after a brief stint working at Essendale (Riverview) as a dietitian for the criminally insane.

Dianne was one of those teachers that loved all her students, and the many compatriots that worked with her over those many years. It was well known that Dianne had the special gift of only seeing the very best in everyone she met! She was an inspiration to the many that had the privilege of having been part of her special way of passing on her many talents.

All through her life Dianne insisted on sharing her space with the pets she held so dear. Her love of gardening and waiting for the dahlias to start blooming was a love she shared with her father. The years of RVing throughout North America, and frequent vacations in Hawaii gave her the inspiration for her wonderful watercolour paintings.

The family wishes to thank all the specialists, doctors, and nurses, that tried desperately to help Dianne through this very unfortunate experience.

Memorial Services for Dianne will be held at the United Church in Murrayville (Sharon Chapel) October 13th, at 1 pm.

To help further research into these terrible forms of cancer, donations to the Caner Society of BC would be very much encouraged!
