Don passed away March 26th in Langley Memorial Hospital after a 12 week battle trying to recover from surgery.
He is survived by his wife Rose and children Rod (Coleen), Jan (Norm), Sandy (Gil), Sherry (Tim) his 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren who will all miss him immensely.
Don retired at 55 moved to Langley and enjoyed his years traveling to California, spending summers in Pender Harbour fishing, and making his own beer and wine, which he was always happy to share. He enjoyed his regular lunch dates with his former work mates from his BC Hydro days and the Won Ton lunch get togethers with his friend Mac. The last several years he looked forward to his weekly crib games and beer with his son in-law Gil. The family is grateful to have spent his 86th birthday celebration with him in December as well as a full Christmas dinner gathering. We loved him to no end, he was our rock.
We will celebrate his life at Henderson's Funeral Home in Langley on April 10th at 11 am.
