Donald BAKER

BAKER, Donald William, age 77, of Aldergrove, British Columbia passed away quietly at home on December 23, 2003.

Born August 8, 1926 in Ayr, Scotland to William and Annie Baker, Don was the second child of five. Don moved to Canada with his family and was raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. He enlisted and served in the 2nd (reserve) Armoured Corps in 1943.

In the late 1940's Don moved with his family to British Columbia and lived in the Kamloops and Williams Lake areas, where he met and married his life long partner Dolores ''Dolly'' Cochran in 1950.

Don and Dolly then settled in the lower mainled where they raised their family and worked a small hobby farm. Don loved the outdoors and spent much of his personal time camping, hunting and fishing at a nmbner of his favorite lakes throughout the interior of British Columbia.

Don is survived by his loving wife Dolores, his children and their spouses Rick and Judy Baker of Prince George, Gary and Sheila Baker of Langley, Linda and Barry Wilson of Aldergrove, Bob Baker and Fran of Aldergrove, Kathy and Larry Welch of White Rock, his grandchildren, Jolleen, Scott, Jamie, Julie, Kyle, Jaclyn, Chris, Darrell, Kelly, Jeff, and Tyler. His four great-grandchildren, his sisters Peggy and Maxine, brother John, numerous nieces, nephews and large coomunity of friends.

Memorial Service to be held at Henderson's Funeral Home in Langley, B.C. on January 3, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your charity of choice.
