Don Mufford passed away March 10th, 2018 at the age of 73. Donald was raised in Milner by parents, Herbert and Phebie. Predeceased by brother Arthur.

Survived by wife of over 40 years, Vera; children Teresa (Rodney), Travis, Daren (Angela); grandchildren Graydon, Emerson; brothers Roy (Geri), Hugh (Corinne) Earl (Cyanna) and sister-in-law Dorothy.

Don was an exceptional trade's worker with certification in welding and pipe fitting. These skills took him to all parts of B.C., as well as the Northwest Territories working for companies such as Cameo Plastics, Kelowna Plumbing & Heating, Western Star, Field Drilling Company & Pendozi Machine Shop. He was a self-taught steel fabricator with over 30 years of private projects that included utility trailers, cable hauling equipment and farming equipment. Many of Don's projects can still be found in use today.

Don was kind to strangers and always eager to lend a hand. His infectious smile was impossible to ignore and perfectly complemented his tales of past and present that he loved to tell. Don was never one to seek attention, but also was never one to shy away from talking.

His detailed memory of a particular town's history, prominent figures, and knowledge of infrastructure like bridges and buildings was enough to make Don an instant friend to anyone. These stories and historical details will forever live on through his 3 children, and become the legacy that shapes their lives and enriches their souls. He will be profoundly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Church in Langley on March 24 at 2:00 pm, 20097 72 Ave, Langley, BC V2Y 1S7.
