With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Jill Rowe at Langley Hospice, July 13, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer.
Jill will be missed by her daughter Laurie (John Mullin) and her grandchildren Connor and Amy. She was predeceased by her husband Howard Rowe in 2006 and her son William in 1997.
Jill was born June 10, 1946 in Leicester, England and emigrated to Canada with her parents in the mid '50's. Her family settled in Windsor, Ontario where she spent her school years. She met Howard, the love of her life, when they were both working for the Bank of Montreal. They were married in 1966. Together they raised a family and followed Howard's career which led them to Oakville, Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary and finally Langley. Jill was a devoted wife and very proud of her family.
Retired in 1995, Howard and Jill enjoyed travelling the world and spending time with their grandchildren. After Howard's passing, Jill continued to travel and enjoy an active social life and a stint as Strata President for her community. She was a great story teller, we will miss her exuberant spirit and her wonderful sense of humour.
The family would like to send a special thanks to all the caring staff at Langley Hospice. As per Jill's wishes there will be no service and, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Langley Hospice Society.
