January 29, 1946 - December 31, 2022
In loving memory ~
Douglas Joseph Holzle sadly passed away on December 31st, 2022, while surrounded by his family for his final moments. Doug is the toughest man we know, he fought hard but unfortunately succumbed to his illness.
Doug is predeceased by his mother Lilian and Brother Harold and is survived by his loving wife Judy, sons Darren (Keri), Tyson (Cherie)and Colin (Darcie) and 5 amazing grandchildren Avery, Ethan, James, Brenden and Joe. Dad was born January 29th, 1946, in Edmonton, Alberta and grew up in White Rock, B.C. Before finally settling in Fort Langley to start a family. He loved everything outdoors but had a special passion for fishing since he was a young boy. It was a common sight to see him walking home with a fish almost the size of himself. A friend once said, "if the River dried up, Dougy would still bring home fish!" This is the truth! As much as he loved fishing he loved to be with his family even more. Doug is an incredible husband, dad, grandpa and friend and he will be missed more than words can say.
We are holding a celebration of life at the Fort Langley Lions Hall, on January 29th, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. We hope to see you there to share some memories, tell some stories and celebrate a strong, wonderful and loving man.
