TUFFORD: Douglas Lawrence. 1938 - 2005. Doug died very suddenly at home with his wife by his side on February 23, 2005 at the age of 66 years. An ex Navy man, Doug had a real zest for life and truly lived life to its fullest. He was a man's man who loved his family, friends and always had a strong work ethic.
Doug was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Mathilda. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Joannie, children Cindy (Tim), Tanis (Gerry), Garth, Darrin (Jill), stepson Bill (Alison), step-daughter Donna, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and former wife Florence. He also leaves his brothers; Gordon (Charlen), Brian, Ken (Evelyn), step-mother Dorothy, step sister Miki (Ken).
A Memorial in Celebration of Doug's Life was held on Monday, February 28th at the Commox Legion. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Piercy's/Mt. Washington Funeral Home and Crematorium. (250)334-4464.
