DUANE MACDONALD

April 24, 2010

MACDONALD, DUANE - In the early morning hours of April 24, 2010 Duane MacDonald loaded his truck for one last run. Old Huey finally pulled his number and he was headed to see Lisa. Armed with a $7 coffee from his niece and the news that the Canucks were ahead in the series he decided it was time to go and went fast. For those that knew and loved him, he was a good man. He was a son, a father, a husband, a brother, an uncle and a friend. Born in 1937 he enjoyed telling people that he grew up on a "dirt farm". He drove millions of miles throughout his career trucking and covered just about every highway in North America. Pre-deceased by his parents Donald and Lillian, daughter Lisa and brother Ingram, he is survived by son Michael, and sister Dolores. Special thanks to the Bartos family and Donnie Leslie, words will never express how much you all meant to him. No funeral at his insistence. Donations may be made to Crohns & Colitis Foundation of Canada. Take a moment to have a coffee with a friend, that's what he would do!
