Eggert (Eggy) Eggertson, 80 years old of Langley, BC passed away peacefully August 07, 2019, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born to parents Dave and Setta Eggertson on July 07, 1939 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Eggert was married to Margaret (nee Matson) Eggertson, from January 1963 to her passing last September 2018.
Eggert is survived by sons Cary and Kris, grandchildren; Brooke (Daniel), Rykkel, Ashleigh, Kirsten, Rachel, Cameron and great-grandson Odin.
Eggy as he was known by his friends loved his family and friends, his sports, playing baseball, slow pitch, hockey and curling.
He was also member of the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fames.
Eggert was a longstanding member of ILWU502 and ILWU514 until his retirement in the year 2000, and he loved every minute of it.
