Eleanor Leona Cowie
1927 - 2009
Eleanor passed away at Langley Memorial Hospital June 19, 2009. Predeceased by her son James Loeppky in 2006. Survived by her daughter Arlene Sweeney (Ed), her sister Laura Metcalf, her grandson Byron Loeppky (Tracy) and her great grandson Clayton Loeppky. Eleanor lived life on her own terms and enjoyed many friends. She loved wearing flashy clothing and costume jewelry, which she wore to the end. Her daughter was very close to her, and they spent many nights camping and talking around the campfire at Birch Bay. Eleanor's 1979 camper van was easily spotted by her friends in Langley and Birch Bay. She was interesting, charming and is sorely missed by her family and friends.
