ATKINSON, ELIZABETH (BETTY)- Longtime resident of Langley, passed away on Oct. 20, 2005, at the age of 81. Lovingly remembered by daughters Pam (Ken) Markusen, Lorna Kring (Ron Lombaert), sons Brian (Karen) and Ian; brothers George (Ena) Wilson and Charles (Helen) Wilson both of Dundee, Scotland; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-granchildren and other relatives and friends. Predeceased by devoted husband Gordon, sister Margaret Warden and friend Harry McCulloch. Betty's love of life was reflected in her delightful story-telling, her charming gardens, the adventures with her chums and the affections of her family. Active for many years in the O.O.R.P., the Langley Legion and the Fraser Valley Ex-Servicewomens' Assn. she will be remembered fondly by those who knew her. Memorial service to be held Fri. Oct. 28, 2005, at St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Langley at 3:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the Sr. Vet's Lounge, Langley Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation.
