It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Else Townsend (Smaback) after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Jim, her daughter Vianne, (J.C) step daughter Denise, grandchildren Jackson and Elise, sisters Lillian (Bob) and Corinne (Dennis) sister in-law Alfie and many nieces and nephews. Else was predeceased by her brother Ted and son Teddy.
Born and raised in Langley and after graduating from Langley High School, Else then attended UBC. She was then hired by American Airlines as a flight attendant and worked with them for over 40 years.
Else is greatly missed by all her dear family and many friends.
