March 14, 1934 - July 16, 2018
It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you of our mother's passing on Monday, July 16, 2018. To all the family, friends, coworkers and acquaintances who touched, and were touched by our mothers life, we know she regarded all of you with love, affection, respect and the highest esteem.

Mother passed peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by family, after a valiant battle with dementia. As always, she mustered a sense of humour and a kind word for all those she met, right until the end. She spent a lifetime helping others; as a nurse for those with special needs and as a volunteer for the Elizabeth Fry Society. Later she was well known as the "puzzle lady" for the Second Story Treasures Thrift Store which benefits the Langley Hospice Society. Then finally, she took on the role of comforting and consoling those in her long term care facility that were less fortunate than herself.

She has shown us what it means to be courageous, kind, thoughtful, gracious and caring. For this, our gratitude is unbounded.

Mother is lovingly remembered by: two children, Cindy and Ken (Karen): five grand children Christy, Kim, Julie-Ann (Dustin), Jamie (Jon) and Nadine: four great grand children Sophia, Logan, Lacey and Yannik.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Brian Morgan from Four Oaks Medical and the amazing staff at Cedar Hill ECU in Langley for their care and compassion during mom's illness. We will be forever grateful.

"Getting old is for the birds."

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Langley Hospice Society in Eva's name are sincerely appreciated.
