BERKOWSKI: Flora MacDonald (nee Grainger) died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in Langley Memorial Hospital, at the age of 75, following a brief illness.
Predeceased by her son, Brian (1985) and husband, Teddy (1989). She leaves behind two wonderful daughters, Lynne White (Duncan) of Burnaby and Sandy Fesiuk (Mark) of Burnaby.
Flora was born March 9, 1930 in Toronto, Ontario and lived in Aldergrove 35 years. Primarily a housewife and mother, she pursued painting, crosswords and jigsaw puzzles. A member of the Ladies Golf Club and the Langley Seniors Centre. She and Ted spent many winters in the desert of California and she cruised in later years with Sandy to Alaska and Mexico. Flora loved people, good jokes and happy hour with close friends and neighbours. Relatives throughout Canada, neighbours and friends will lovingly remember her incredible sense of humour and her signature laugh.
Many thanks go to all those that visited her in hospital, the nurses and entire Palliative Care team, the Langley Hospice Society for their tremendous care of her and the family.
A celebration of Flora's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 24 at First Memorial Funeral Services, 27555 31st Avenue, Aldergrove. A reception to follow at the Aldergrove Legion.
