Frances MORGAN

MORGAN, Frances Marie-Louise (nee Fontaine), born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on January 30, 1921, passed away peacefully at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, March 12 in Langley Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

She is predeceased by her parents and three siblings. Survived by her husband Dick, five loving children - Elaine, Colin, Russell, Alan and Catherine, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.

Flo's family moved to Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan while shw was a baby, and homesteaded there. She came to the west coast after the war and married Richard (Dick) Morgan in New Westminster in 1946, where they settled to raise their family. They moved to Surrey in 1957 and then on to Langley in the mid-eighties. They were very active in square-dancing, bowling and card-playing with many friends over the years. They spent several winters in Arizona with friends and relatives also retired.

Flo followed Dick into Langley Lodge in the late nineties. Flo was very active and happy there and made many friends. She took her dream trip of a lifetime in January 2004 to Australia with four of her children.

The family especially thanks the staff, nurses and many friends at Langley Lodge for the special care they gave our mother. Also thanks to Dr. Thomas Wong, Dr. Brian Morgan and Dr. M. O'Brien and many caring staff at LMH. Catholic Funeral Services will be held at St. Joseph's Parish on Fraser Highway at 207th Street in downtown Langley on Thursday, March 18 at 10:00 a.m. Tea to follow.
