October 21, 1962 - October 6, 2018
On Saturday, October 6th George took his last ride home. He passed surrounded in love, in peace and without pain. Born and raised in Vancouver, he spent most of his formative years in Kitsilano. Worked for many years at the English Bay Cafe, where he made many friendships and worked hard to go from Busboy to Bistro Manager. George was a fun loving, non judgmental man who accepted people with open arms, endearing him to everyone that he came across.

George loved all types of music, books and art. He became the owner of Heritage Canada Native Art Gallery in Vancouver. That inspired George to become an artist later on as well. He worked with oils and acrylic, pottery and poetry, and drum making. His work in the tattoo industry allowed him to further express himself artistically. He was also an avid motorcycle rider and loved to go out for rides on his bike to California, Anacortes, and many local trips.

A natural story teller, with a laugh that came from the tip of his toes to the top of his head, he always brought sunshine & laughter to any friend and family gathering. Always ready with a quick joke or comeback, he made everyone feel at ease in his presence.

Loving son to George and Betty Young, survived by his wife; Carolyn, Mother in Law; Joan, Father in Law; Gerry, Brothers in Law; Alan & Pete, Sisters in Law; Angela and Marianne and Nieces; Elena, Courtney, & Danielle, and Nephew; Caleb along with his chosen family and tight circle of friends.

A special thank you to the Cancer Clinic in Abbotsford, and the wonderful care he received there from the amazing nurses and staff during his 3 year battle with cancer, which he fought with courage and humor. A special thank you to Darlene and Suzanne for their unconditional love, support and friendship through this difficult time. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Till we see you again George, ride on.
