FYVIE, George John passed away peacefully at Langley Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 10, 2003 at the age of 76.
Born in Vancouver, he proudy served in the Canadian Army during W.W.II and worked at Alex Gair and Sons as a Sheet Metal Mechanic for 47 years.
George and Mary Buchanan Henderson were married for 54 years sharing an exceptional, close and beautiful relationship together. He was a gentle loving man, pure of heart with a giving soul. An honest, kind, loving and devoted family man, he had many friends who loved him and held him dear.
George will be remembered by his loving wife Mary, cherished by his son Bruce and daughter Joanne, treasured by his granddaughter Skyler and loved by daughter-in-law Lydia, sister Marnie Walmsley, Doreen Waugh, brother David and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial St., Burnaby. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC would be greatly appreciated in George's Memory.
