Geraldine May Carlson (nee Hunt) was born May 13, 1936 to Fred and Mabel Hund in Langley BC.
Gerry attended Langley Elementary School and graduated from Langley High School where she met Laurance (Laurie) Carlson.
While in High School Gerry enjoyed roller skating with her sister Pat and played sports including basketball - "she wasn't the highest scorer but was fast getting the ball down the court."
After graduating she and Laurie married and started their family. After Laurie's graduation from UBC they moved to Surrey and built their first house. Gerry excelled at being a wife, mother and homemaker, making many of her children's clothes, cooking, gardening, knitting and caring for the family's pets!
Gerry loved her church involvement - she taught Sunday School and faithfully passed on her love for Jesus to her 4 children.
Gerry and Laurie's family grew to include 20 grandchildren and 17 (soon to be 20) Great Grandchildren. Each of her Grandchildren were prayed for daily by Gerry.
Gerry was predeceased by her parents, brother Fred, her sister Pat her great Grandchild Levi and Son-In-Law Clark.
Gerry is survived by her husband Laurie of 63 years, son Ted (Janis) daughter Cathy, son Brent (Nancy) and daughter Leanne.
Gerry will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
