Gerta was born in St. Leonhard, Austria. She passed away peacefully with family by her side on Aug. 29, 2009 at Langley Hospice, Langley BC. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Erhard ; daughters Anita (Bryan) and Linda (Gerry); grandchildren Ryan, Marcus, Kyle, Courtney, Gregory; and 6 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by sisters Burgi and Hermine in Austria, as well as nieces and nephews in Europe. Erhard and Gerta were to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 17, 2009. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday Sept. 4, 2009 at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Hwy, Langley, B.C. Donations may be made to the Langley Hospice Society 20088 - 40A Avenue, Langley BC V3A 2Y6.
