Gordon Thomas Lothian

May 30, 1980 - July 31, 2009

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gord Lothian who was tragically taken from us in a terrible accident in Langley on Friday, July 31, 2009. He was 29 years old. Gord will forever be in the hearts of his mother and father, Tom and Norinne Lothian, his sister Chrissy and husband, Brad Thygesen, his grandma and Uncle Joe and all other family members, and the love of his life, Kristy McLean. Gord was a Brookswood boy having gone to Alice Brown Elementary and Brookswood High school. He trained as a journeyman commercial mechanic starting at McCallum Concrete and moving on to Kask Brothers, Dynamic Pumping, Alliance and Finnings. Wanting to own his own business and do something different, he bought a franchise in Jim's Mowing, and found great satisfaction in being his own boss, mentoring and helping others on an individual basis. He loved the Jim's company ethic, his work, and the variety of clients. Gord will also be sorely missed by so many wonderful friends, many from the early years at Alice Brown, who will remember him as a responsible, hard working, funny, personable, vibrant guy who loved to kick back and enjoy life. He had an easy going manner and was truly genuine in all ways. He touched so many lives.

A celebration of Life for Gord will be held Thursday, August 13 at the Brookswood Baptist Church, 20581 - 36th Ave., Langley at 1:00 p.m.

The generosity of others has been overwhelming. If you wish, Gord loved his dog, Caymen, and a donation to LAPS, The Patti Dale Animal Shelter at 26220-56 Ave. Aldergrove, 604-857-5055 would be much appreciated.
