Gordon ROBERTSON

ROBERSTON, Gordon R. of Langley, British Columbia, died March 3, 2004 after a shirt illness.

Born August 11, 1918 in Brandon, ``Gig'' grew up a proud ``westender'' and lived all his working life in Brandon before moving to Langley in 1997. From 1937 to 1972 Gord owned and operated Robertson's Quality Grocery and later Robertson's IGA Supermarket on the corner of 12th Street and Princess Avenue. He was a long time member and Past President of the Brandon Lions Club and was active in all Club activities up to the time he moved.

Predeceased by brothers John and Doug and grand-daughter Chari.

Gord is lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years Dorothy (Brownlie), sister Mary of Toronto, sister-in-law Margaret Christmas of Victoria, son Gordon Jr and wife Elda, daughter Margaret Misko and husband Dennis, all of Langley, son Bill and wife Sharon of Victoria, grand-daughters; Candice, Jennifer, Mallory and Danica, grandson Janson and great grand-daughter Meghan. No service by request.

In his memory, pour yourself a ``wee dram'' of scotch at 5 o'clock. (Just one though)
