REED, Harry Gideon - passed away peacefully at home, May 14, 2005. Born in Salmon Arm, BC on March 10, 1916 Harry's family moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario when he was a young man. In 1942 he met and married Zeta, the love of his life for the past 62 years. It was a close family as three Reed brothers married three Hodgins sisters. Harry and Zeta had twins Karen and Wally in 1945; then moved to Terrace in 1953. The following year more family moved to Terrace where work was plentiful and fish and the outdoors was essential for raising their families. In 1960 Harry and Zeta decided to moved their family to Vancouver where they lived and worked for the next 20 years. Langley has been home for the past 31 years. Harry will be lovingly remembered as husband, father, brother, uncle and grandpa. Survived by his wife Zeta, son Harry (Wally); daughter Karen (Glenn); sister Doris Downing; brothers Dan (Eunice) and Ron (Irene); 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; nephew Gary (Pat) and many nieces. Private arrangements have been made.
