CAFFERY, HERBERT 1926-2004, passed away Thursday, May 27th, at Langley Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born February 12th, 1926 at Saanich, BC.
Predeceased by 1st wife Norma, stepdaughter Margaret McLean, and stepson Robert McLean. Survived by his loving wife Pat, nephew Denis (Pam) Hay, stepchildren Jim (Penny) McLean, Terry (Diane) McLean, Jean (Dain) Phillips, Treasure (Bob) Essery, Deborah (Frank) Sadowski, Sandra (Paul) Willems, and many grandchildren. Veteran of WW II, worked as Master Mechanic in lumber camps in BC until retirement. Langley Senior of the year for 2000, past president of Kiwanis Langley Golden K Club, member of Langley Legion Branch 21, volunteer at Langley Senior Resource Centre for 13yrs, and Read to Me Program at Douglas Park Comm. School. Celebration of Life at Langley Senior Resource Center on Wed, June 2nd at 2pm, (20605 51B Ave). In lieu of flowers; donation to Canadian Cancer Fund, LSRC, or charity of choice. Will be missed by many friends and neighbours.
