Hilda Mary Christie

In Loving Memory ~
Our dearly beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021, comforted by family. She was born in Montreal and moved to Nova Scotia in 1951 as a young bride to be with her husband Bob, who served in the Royal Canadian Navy in Halifax.
In 1971, Bob retired from the RCN, and they moved their family to the lower mainland where she started a new career in the airline industry.
In 1982, she and Bob permanently retired and started new travels across Canada, the US, Alaska, and Europe. After 63 years of marriage, Bob passed away in 2009.
She will be remembered for her positive and loving nature always ready with a smile and kind word. She lived her life to the fullest with an independent and adventurous spirit that was admired by all who knew her. She will be missed terribly.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary (Jack), and Ellen; son Allan (Gerri); daughter Susan, son David; grandchildren Gerald (Debbie), David (Nicky), Eryn (Chris), Rob (Jenn), and great grandchildren Lamara, Alex, Graham, Noah, Evie, Charlotte and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Henderson's Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley BC on February 28, 2022 @ 1 pm.
