In Loving Memory ~
It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Isabella (Isabel/Isy/Izzy/Bell) Margaret Charron (McAleese). Isabella was born in 1941, passing on April 11, 2022 at 80 years. Isabella is predeceased by her parents, Margaret McAleese (Brady), and Archibald McAleese, her sisters Mary McAleese (Jacobson), Sister Eileen McAleese and brother John McAleese.
Isabella was a loving, positive, supportive wife for 55 years to Joe (Adrien) Charron, and mother to Paul, Paige (Kevin Webb), and Patrick (Pat) (Leah Strange). Isabella was so proud of her witty grandson Josiah, her little 'Pokemon dragon'. Isabella was always a big supporter of her children's activities, sports, sports, fundraisers, social events, impacting her kid's lives in such a profound way.
Isabella is from a family of 13 children and will be deeply missed by siblings Pat (Liz), Sheila, Barb (Ron), Betty, Philomena, Nora, Sarah (Dennis), Terrie, and James, who loved her sense of humour, generosity and unconditional love.
Isabella is predeceased by her nephew Lorn Jacobson and nieces Melissa Moi (Graham) and Alita Giles. She is survived by dozens of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members who are feeling the loss of such an amazing woman.
She grew up in Vermilion, moving out at 15 to support herself and her family. She babysat, cleaned houses, and worked in a hospital in order to send money home to her parents and siblings. She made friends, whom she moved to the west coast with, and met Joe.
They lived on Twigg Road on Mitchell Island in Richmond, where the Charron family completely embraced and loved Isabel. They raised their kids on on No. 4 Road, finally retiring in Cloverdale. There they bowled, joined the Willowbrook Mall walking club, took part in charity events, and made many friends.
As she became less mobile, mom loved being on Facebook and seeing people's updates, and interacting online. She touched people's lives by being upbeat, newsy, funny and ALWAYS had a smile on her face and something sweet to say!
She will be long remembered by the numerous lives she touched, those she laughed with, and welcomed into her kitchen for chats and snacks.
A celebration of life will be held in May.
