James Oswald WELLS;

WELLS; James Oswald, departed from amongst us Saturday December 16, 2006 at the age of 86 years, after a 15 month stay at The Langley Lodge. He is predeceased by his youngest son Glen Allen Wells and his sister Eileen Wilson. James is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Marion Kathleen Wells, eldest son James Bryan, faithful and loving daughter-in-law Bonnie Wells, and step daughter Margaret Goyette; grand children Todd, Tracy, Julie, Pamela and Byron. Great grand children James, Natalie, Ryan and Kyle. James was the second born child to William and Christina Wells in Winnipeg, Man., February 7, 1920. In 1938 he moved to B.C. to ride and train thorough-bred horses, throughout the remainder of that decade until the early 50's, he was a jockey and horse trainer for Jack Diamond's stables at Landsdown Park in Richmond. From the early 50's until 1975, he worked as a sales representative for Intercontinental Packers, after moving to Langley in 1975 he was a "Hero-Bus-Driver" and builder of equipment for handicapped kids of the former Variety Treatment Centre for Children. A private family service will follow cremation. Donation's made in James' memory to the Langley Food Bank would be appreciated. Valley View Funeral Home, Surrey, B.C.
