It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janet at her home after a battle with cancer.
A Brookswood resident for the past 30 years, Janet loved walking the dog, chatting with neighbours, and keeping the bird and raccoon population well fed.
As a devoted mother, Janet spent much of her time trying to feed, provide for and embarrass her daughter, Carmen.
She was a second mom to many of Carmen's friends growing up and her door was always open to people and animals alike. Janet was always ready with a hot chocolate or glass of wine and a good story to tell.
She is predeceased by her mother Dorothy Julson, father Walton Julson, nephew Wyatt Kent and niece Jillian Hopink.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Carmen, her sister Barbara (George) Kent, her ex-husband George Flannery, and many others who will miss her entertaining stories, humour and beautiful smile.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Critter Care Wildlife Society. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
