Jannette LOTZ

June 21, 2005

LOTZ, Jannette (Nettie), passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2005, in Langley Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was 88 years old, born May 23, 1917, in Rijnsburg, the Netherlands, to Albert and Marie (Brugmans) Swagerman. Nettie married Johan (John) Lotz on October 12, 1939 in Amsterdam. They lived there until 1951, when they immigrated to Canada, where they made their home. She worked in women's wear retail, becoming a manager in Sally's Shop in Prince Rupert and as manager for women's wear for Fields. After retirement, Nettie and John enjoyed traveling, including frequent trips to Osoyoos. Nettie was a former member of the Prince Rupert Soroptomists and, for many years, an active member of the Langley Grove Ceramics Club. She is survived by her husband, John and two children, Anita (Bill) Shotwell, of Lynden, Washington, Eric (Deanna) Lotz, of Coquitlam, B.C. and grandsons, Robert and Brian Lotz. She is missed by all of us. For those desiring, donations made in Nettie's memory, to the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation would be most appreciated.
