SINCLAIR, J. (JIM)

(1917 - 2011)

With great sadness, the family of Jim Sinclair, formerly of Langley, B.C., announce his passing on Sunday, March 6, 2011. Jim leaves his children, Ken, Cliff and Eileen and their spouses Lillian, Christine and Ken, six grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, all whom he cherished equally and devotedly. He is predeceased by Edna, his beloved wife and soul mate ("Edner") of 56 years, and by his second wife and companion, Florence. Also predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Bud. Jim will be fondly remembered by his special friend Amelia Ross. Following wartime overseas service with the RCASC, Jim joined the RCAF. Over the next 20-odd years, he and his family lived on various airbases across Canada and in France. On retirement in 1968, Jim started a second career with the BC Liquor Distribution Branch. Near the time of their 50th Anniversary, Alzheimer's Disease began to rip his precious Edna from him and his family. Jim's loving care, patience and perseverance with their suffering stand as a model for his family and other couples faced with this terrible condition. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 o'clock, Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Surrey. If desired, donations to the B.C. Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Graham Funeral Home, 34616 - 99th Street, Oliver, B.C. (250) 498-3833.
