April 17, 1935 - November 21, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend on Nov 21, 2018. Born in Vancouver on Apr 17, 1935 Joan grew up in Vancouver then spent many years in Victoria before returning to Vancouver.
Joan leaves to mourn her loving husband Lyle of 29 years, her children Doug (Chris) Sharon, David, Ken (Rhonda). Step children Dennis (Tammy-Jo) Steve (Beth), and Tammy-Lynn. Grandchildren Damien, Doug Jr, Ethan, Savannah, Jada and Kayla. Great grandchildren Gryffin, Zoe. Brother Jim Bowes in Victoria BC, and many good friends and relatives.
Joan was predeceased by her first husband Doug Caldwll in 1986 and her parents Irene Bowes in 1997 and Arthur in 2001.
Special thanks to all of Joan's wonderful caregivers, and the entire staff a Ridge Meadows Hospital.
A remembrance gathering will be held on Saturday May 25, 2019 at The Fort Langley Golf Course. In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to make a donation in her memory to the Alzheimer Society of BC is appreciated.
