MacDonald, John Angus - Peacefully in his sleep, on June 27, 2009, in Langley BC, at the age of 87. John (Jack) is survived by his wife Marion (Penny) nee Penzer, children Dianne (Doug), Ross and Glenn (Cindy), grandchildren Scott, Heather, Paul, Chelsea, Kenton, Madison, Paige, Conner and Brett, two great grandchildren, and sisters Cathy and Dorthy. Pre-deceased by mother Annie, father John, sister Mary and brother Robert. Jack was born in Salmon Arm BC. While recovering at Tranquille BC from TB contracted in WW II, he met Penny and they married in 1950. Jack graduated from UBC law school in 1953 and joined Les McDonald, followed by Micheal Boyle Sr., in practice in Langley. Jack was a founding member of the Langely Rotary Club and received the Paul Harris fellowship. Jack was the self-proclaimed Crazy 8 champion of the universe and competed vigourously with many to defend his trophy. He travelled to BC's interior whenever possible in search of the roughest roads and remotest lakes, to follow his passion for fly fishing and hunting. Following retirement in 1986 Jack and Penny moved to Aldergrove BC and then to Langley Gardens. Jack had a smile for everyone.

Thanks to the staff at Langley Gardens and Langley Memorial Hospital, Dr. Nataros, and Dr. McCann for their dedicated and kind care.

A gathering to celebrate Jack's life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009, from 1200 to 1500, at Newlands Reception facility, Langley BC.
