ST. CYR, Joseph Edgar, Dec. 20, 1917 - Feb. 20, 2004, born in Ponteix, Saskatchewan. Ed (Fast Eddie) passed away at Langley Memorial Hospital.
Professional welder, mechanic, carpenter & jack of all trades died at the young age of 86 after a courageous battle with G.E. cancer. He had a zest for life, alert and aware to the end. He loved people & was loved in return; was generous and always willing to help. We will miss his sense of humour and his infectious smile. He enjoyed building projects and nothing was too great nor small.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Lucille, and her mother Amanda. His brothers: Herve, Robert, Gerard, Laurent, Norman and their wives. His sisters: Lena, Sr. Alma, Alice, Rita. Many nieces & nephews. His partner, Helen Williams and his extended family whom held a special place in his heart.
Funeral mass at 11am Thursday, February 26, 2004 at St. Joachim and Ann Catholic Church 2827 273rd St. Aldergrove, B.C. A celebration of life will follow at the Aldergrove Legion 26607 Fraser Hwy at 12:15pm. Evening prayers and a viewing at 8pm. Wednesday February 25, 2004.
Many thanks to Dr. Harold Stephany, Dr. Milton Po, Radiation Oncologist, to the FV Cancer Clinic, and to the staff of 3 South at LM Hospital for their care and support to both Dad and myself. Thanks also to The Langley Hospice Society for their many wonderful volunteers and to the vigial service team for without them I may have not fared so well.
