BATES, Joshua Manfred Charles George - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved son, brother, grandson and friend who was taken from us suddenly in Walnut Grove on August 29, 2007 at the age of 6 years. Josh loved life. He was a sweet and kind little boy with a heart of gold. His endless energy ans spirit was just that of a boy who played hard. Joshua will be lovingly remembered by his parents Melissa and Cameron, brothers Christian and Nicholas; sisters Paige and Brooke; grandparents Manfred (Linda) Goebel; Charles (Paulette)Bates; many aunties and uncles, family and friends. A service to celebrate Joshua's life will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 12:00 pm from St. Georges Anglican Church, 9160 Church Street in Fort Langley with burial at Fort Langley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to James Kennedy Elementary Playground Fund at the Willoughby or Walnut Grove Save On Foods as well as Saint George's Anglican Church in Fort Langley. The Bates family wishes to express their most heartfelt gratitude to each and every person who rushed to Josh's side. A million thank-you's will never be enough.
