Joyce CULSHAW

October 20, 2010

CULSHAW, Joyce Bernice

It’s with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a much loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Born in Winnipeg on July 19th, 1930, Mom passed away in Langley early on October 20th, 2010, after a full life of 80 years. Joyce was pre- deceased by Don, her husband of 54 years, her elder sister Beatrice, and brothers Lloyd and Ken. She will be remembered by her children, Donna, Karen, Alan (Diane), and Glen (Diana); her grandchildren, Melissa, David, Steven, Michael, Kristopher, Sydney, and Alex, as well as her brother Sid & sister Leona.

Joyce was known for her baking, her love of country music and dancing, her dry sense of humour, and her involvement in the Royal Canadian Legion. An avid member of the Glenwood Card Sharks, she was also a champion crib and whist player. Joyce enthusiastically supported the activities of her children and grandchildren, and always had an open door to friends and family.

A gathering of Joyce’s friends and family will be held on November 6 at 1:00pm at Glenwood Village Clubhouse, 21746-52nd Ave. Langley. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C.
