FRIESEN, Katie
(nee Fast)
Born July 24, 1931, in Sparraue, Ukraine. Passed away in the arms of her children, Monika, Karl and Nick, on Tuesday June 23, 2009. Katie was a long time member of the Mennonite Central Committee and spent many years quilting and sewing for charity with her friends there. The service was held at the Bethel Mennonite Church on Tuesday, June 30th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the MCC.
