Laura Elizabeth Sobol was born May 8, 1908 in Stillwater, Minnesota to Paul and Elizabeth (nee Scheff) Sobol. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Rudy (Rudolph), Arthur, Esther and Edna. She is survived in Canada by her nephew David Soball of Delta, B.C., his two children Dayna and Wade, and her niece, Ruth Werner, her husband Joseph Werner and son Dean Turcotte, of Armstrong, BC. In the US, she is survived by one nephew (Bud) and two nieces (Betty and Caroline), the children of her brother, Arthur. She died at Langley Lodge, Langley, B.C. after short period in palliative care on July 9, 2017. Vigil prayers and Funeral Mass were celebrated at St. Joseph’s Parish Langley, B.C. on July 21, 2017. She was interred in the Gardens of Gethsemanie.
