Leo FOSTER

FOSTER - Leo W. of Langley passed away on December 6, 2005. He died peacefully at home with his loving wife Audree. He was an Industrial Education and automotive teacher for 28 years at Langley Secondary School, retiring in 1979. He was also the bandmaster at L.S.S. in his early days. He was a well-known musician in Vancouver from the 40's until 1980 playing bass or tuba in the Vancouver Symphony, dance music in every night club, radio shows, and band concerts in the parks. While teaching in Langley, he continued playing on the weekends and the Sunday Symphony concerts. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, son Greg (wife Cynthia and girls Rachel and Rebecaa), daughter Maureen Bacchus (husband Dr. Richard Bacchus and family Laura (Mike), Ryan, Alyssa and Emily). A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Henderson's Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Gould officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
