HANSEN, Louis Melvin "Lou", born February 18, 1930 in Shaunavon,
Saskatchewan. Passed away January 31, 2008 at langley Hospice after his courageous battle with cancer. Pre-deceased by father, mother & sister. He will be greatly missed by his wife
Alvina of 56 years, two sons Stewart (Holly) Hansen, Darryl (Sweleen) Hansen, and daughter Madilyn (Kevin) Cartwright and 11 grandchildren and many relatives and friends. Funeral Services were held on February 5th. Interment at Langley Lawn Cemetery and the reception at the Canadian Museum of Flight. The family would like to thank Dr. Maureen Adamson and Dr. Coulter, nurses, staff and volunteers at the Hospice for their compassion, tender and loving care. Also thanks to many relatives and friends for their kindness and support. Flowers gratefully declined but for anyone wishing to make a donation can be made in Lou's memory to the Langley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Langley Hospice Society or Canadian Museum of Flight.
