BALL, Mary. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother Mary Hamilton Ball. Born in Glasgow on April 23, 1916 she completed her life's journey on May 26, 2006 surrounded by her loving family and special niece. Throughout the week, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her extended family on a daily basis comforted her. Her daughter Barbara Mallar and son-in-law Ron survive Mary as well as her grandson Kevin and Jackie (Austin & Brooke); grandson Greg and Kim (Kelsey and Kyle), her granddaughter Kelly and Tony (Brycen and Owen); her devoted niece Anne and husband Harry; special family members Lori, Colin and Lindsay Gaetan and her dear friends Pat Comis, Joan Coventry and Shirley Douglas. Our family would like to say a very special ''thank you'' to Dr. Tom Parsons who cared for Mary with such compassion and concern throughout her last 30 years. The family greatly appreciates the exceptional care provided by RNs Carl, Sharon, Ivy, Mary-Lou, Darlene and all the wonderful staff at Rosewood Center who treated Mary with such special tenderness. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Henderson's Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley.
