MARK: Mary Elizabeth (nee: Polley)
Long term resident of Walnut Grove passed away on Friday, April 8 at the age of 90. She was born in Montreal and moved to Ft. McMurray, Alberta as a young woman. She and her husband Don Mark (deceased) bought land in Walnut Grove in 1946 and shipped the house up the river by barge. She spent the last few years with her daughter and husband in Ft. McMurray. She is survived by daughters Betty (New Zealand), Dawn (Surrey), Eleanor (Langley), Rose (Glen, Ft. McMurray) and sons John (Langley) and Dan (Vicki, Langley), 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She lived a long full life and her humor will be sorely missed.
