SUMMERS, Maxwell Dennis. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful father, a loving grandfather, a special friend. Max was born in Saskatchewan, January 15th, 1920. He grew up in Powell River, moved to Vancouver, then to Burnaby. After the death of his beloved wife, Irene, Max spent the last 13 years living in Langley with his son's family.
Max valued and loved his family and friends in his quiet, gentle manner and retained his wonderful sense of humour, sincerity and integrity throughout his 86 years.
Max was a contractor/carpenter and for almost fifty years was responsible for building many of the three story apartments in Kerrisdale, as well as many homes in Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, North Vancouver, Surrey and Langley. When Max was not building he loved to fish and to play golf with family and friends.
He will be forever loved by his son Marty, daughter-in-law Karen, his daughter Nancy, son-in-law Keith, and the grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley, Adam and Edmond.
We would like to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts and deeds. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Langley Hospice Society would be gratefully accepted.
