Mildred [Milly] Grace Kinghorn age 88 passed away peacefully on August 4 2020.
Milly led a full and fruitful life bringing laughter and joy to those who knew her well. Her uncanny ability to laugh especially at herself was a trait that we all wish more people would adopt.
Milly had many passions in her life but nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren and being involved in shaping their lives.
Milly was an avid traveller in her early years seeing many locations in Europe and other destinations around the world. However, her greatest love was travelling to see family and friends in Canada. Whether it was to see her family in Carleton Place Ontario where she grew up or the epic trips to Vancouver Island to share in birthday celebrations.
Milly was an avid card player, bringing the game of Euchre out West for all of her family and friends to enjoy. Combining her loves of family, cards and the occasional beverage made for legendary memories that will never be forgotten.
Milly had an uncanny knack for the English language and although her pronunciation of certain words may not be accepted by linguistics experts, they had the desired effect of bringing laughter and good times to all.
Milly also had a love for food, in recent years most notably a good poutine would do the trick.
Milly is survived by her loving kids, son Steve [Kristi] and daughter Lynn [John] and grandchildren Samantha, Taylor, Jordan and Megan, siblings Marjorie, Elsie, Jack and Carol. She was predeceased by her husband Ron Kinghorn in January 2012.
